The Foundation is unique in that it conducts multidisciplinary biomedical research and product development to bring to the public biomedical devices and other biomedical technologies that could improve human health and well being.

The Foundation and its scientists have contributed to significant medical therapy advances in the areas of cardiac pacemakers, insulin delivery systems, chemical and physiological sensors, hospital drug delivery systems, cochlear implants, artificial retina and neuromuscular stimulation.

Many exciting programs are underway at the Foundation. We are currently planning clinical trials using our innovative platform of neuromuscular injectable stimulators. This project is particularly exciting in that multiple functional body impairments could eventually be restored.

Our pace of bringing innovative technologies to unmet medical needs is limited only by our financial resources. The Foundation is funded primarily by its Founder, Al Mann, from the royalties from licensing of technology to companies for manufacturing and distribution and donors who wish to share in our mission.

If you would like to share in our vision and contribute to our continuing efforts, we would be very appreciative. For further information regarding the Foundation or donations please contact our Public Relations department at publicrelations@aemf.org.
