Job Title:  Director of Business and Market Intelligence

Summary

The successful candidate will have experience performing primary and secondary market research leading to completion of market analysis and business plans supporting decisions to select and fund emerging technologies in the healthcare field. This includes competitive landscape, market opportunity, barriers to entry, barriers to exit and reimbursement landscape, and business risk assessment.  

 

Key Job Duties

  • Working with internal or external partners, perform market due diligence on specified needs in the medical device, pharmaceutical, and biologic industries
  • Accurately summarize in a report format specified markets and technology areas through robust due diligence analysis, though information is often either lacking or contradictory
  • Assist management in project and application selection by providing appropriate business and market data, including, without limitation, assessments of core competencies to assure that the organization has or can secure appropriate skill sets, equipment and component parts
  • Complete financial projections in support of ROI and exit value statements
  • Identify key market requirements based on market analysis and discussions with industry leaders which will support development of functional/technical specifications
  • Review and prioritize product features based on competitive analysis
  • Develop and validate viable business models for exit strategies
  • Keep abreast of new methodologies and analytical techniques
  • Provides support to leadership in deal negotiations, contract development, due diligence, and other business development or alliance development projects

 

Requirements

  • Business and/or Science Bachelors Degree, MBA or MBA track preferred
  • 1-3 years experience in a medical related field
  • Proficient with MS office software including Powerpoint, Word, Excel
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Desired: Knowledge of a medical products development process from planning to; design, development, test, production,  through a product launch

Senior Software Engineer

Summary

Work as a senior developer with engineering teams in a biomedical R&D environment to develop requirements, architecture, design and implementation through the full development life cycle including development, unit testing, configuration management and documentation.

 

Requirements 

  • 3+ years experience developing software applications
  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical field
  • Ability to develop new as well as maintain legacy applications
  • Familiarity with C++, C#, VB, Java, and/or MatLab in a Windows environment
  • Creative problem solving
  • Ability to communicate clearly in writing, by phone, and in person
  • Breadth and depth of software engineering expertise
  • Experience with the full life cycle, from requirements to implementation
  • Experience developing in a variety of programming languages and environments
  • Solid work habits that lead to well documented and supportable software
  • Understanding of user interface architecture on Windows platform that interfaces with lower level hardware, microcontrollers and drivers

Additional Experience a Plus

  • 5+ years programming experience
  • Experience with Windows API's
  • Familiarity with database development and data structures
  • OO and .NET application development
  • Ethernet and TCP/IP protocols
  • Iterative development
  • Knowledge of a variety of design methods and techniques
