Claude Mann Chairperson, Gifting and Development
Claude Mann serves as Chairperson of Gifting and Development for the Alfred Mann Foundation. In 2004, Mrs. Mann launched AMF’s first inaugural gala, “An Evening of Inspiration & Innovation” to raise additional funds that would extend the research and development efforts of the Foundation. That first gala raised a net of $1.4 million.
Mrs. Mann also works with the Department of Music of the University of Southern California in its fundraising efforts for its annual Charles Dickens Dinner. In 2004, she was honored to receive the Woman of Achievement Award from the Women of Sheba.
In 1998, when the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology invited Alfred and Claude to visit the university, the first trip to Israel for each, after eight full days of touring and meeting with Israel’s best and brightest, Claude and Al became both emotional and inspired. Ultimately, it was Claude who persuaded Al to establish one of his biomedical engineering institutes at the Technion, the only such Institute outside of the United States. Alfred’s gift of $100 million is the largest gift ever to an Israeli university.
Mrs. Mann holds BA degrees in Philosophy and French from La Sorbonne University and serves on the board of the Nevada Cancer Institute.
